Naval Station Validusia was an immense Imperial space station that orbited a blue planet in the Validusia system[1] within the Bes Ber Bikade sector of the Expansion Region[2] and Trailing Sectors.[3] It was situated in grid square L-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[2]
The station, which offered repairs and refueling to Imperial warships, featured a large number of spherical and spheroidal fuel containers, and a spire measuring nearly seventeen kilometers. Naval Station Validusia was large enough to dock an Assertor-class Star Dreadnought and over a dozen other capital ships, and it was the base of operations for an Altor-class supply ship.[1]
Behind the scenes
Naval Station Validusia was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the thirty-fourth issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine series, published by De Agostini[1] around August 26, 2015.[4] In Star Wars Legends, Naval Station Validusia was introduced in the reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, which was written by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart and published in 2012. The design of the space station was created by illustrator Ansel Hsiao.[5]
