"Mynock roasts are a popular form of entertainment on planets such as Ardennia, and Twi'leks craft spice-based dishes such as Mynock Cloud City and Mynock Coronet City."
―From the journal of Ardis San Tekka[1]

Mynock Coronet City was a spice-based dish made from mynocks by members of the Twi'lek species.[1] The dish was spicy and contained properly-seasoned portions of the creature. It shared its name[3] with Coronet City, capital of the planet Corellia.[4] It was was popular with Twi'leks[3] and served in restaurants alongside Mynock Cloud City on their homeworld Ryloth,[2] although proper preparation and seasoning was required for the silicon-based mynocks to be edible to carbon-based life forms at all and humans found it strong and bitter, often only resorting to dishes[3] such as Mynock Coronet City[2] that contained the meat if there was nothing else available.[3]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, Mynock Coronet City was first mentioned in the 2015 reference book Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know.[5] The dish originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in I, Jedi, a 1998 novel written by Michael A. Stackpole.[6]
