Mucous salamander

Mucous salamanders, also known as pinkish salamanders, were amphibious reptiles native to Yavin 4.^[1]

Biology and appearance

Mucous salamanders possessed a unique molecular structure that "loosened" underwater. When submerged, body cells would become porous and amorphous, held together randomly by a subtle electric current. In this state (lasting for as long as it is underwater) it could safely pass through anglers' clutches. It regained solidity back on land.^[1]
