The angler, also known as spider-angler, was a bloblike, multi-ocular crustaceal mollusk that was native to Yavin 4.
Biology and appearance
The angler "fishes" for underwater prey by dangling rootlike tentacles/claws below the water's surface. Some prey, like the mucous salamander, could easily avoid an angler's clutches when underwater.
Following the Battle of Yavin, the collector Breac Slaus tasked a group of spacers to hunt and kill an unreasonable number of anglers.[3]
