Monopod racing was a racing sport utilizing small repulsorcrafts known as monopods. It was similar to podracing, though each craft had only a single engine. In monopod racing, players had to race three laps around the pre-determined track. At some point during each race, racers needed to stop at Pit Row for repairs, and during races, engineering droids were used to keep the pods running smoothly. Though discouraged by the pragmatism of using droids as engineers, monopod teams could include two sentient beings rather than a sentient and a droid. Beyond that, there was flexibility in what role each team member could take during a race. That is, an individual could legally start as pilot and end as engineer, depending on the circumstances of the race.[1]

Monopod racing was popular across the galaxy during the High Republic Era. One organization, the Monopod Circuit brought the sport to various worlds as part of its tour. It was brought to the Outer Rim planet Tenoo for the first time[1] in 232 BBY[2] with the Tenoo Grand Tour, which was won by Wiston Freng and Nash Durango.[1]
