Mon Cala Opera was a type of opera[1] that shared its name with the Outer Rim waterworld Mon Cala, the home of the Mon Calamari and Quarren species.[2] Its performance troupes often included Drabatans, an amphibious species from[1] the Outer Rim[3] planet Pipada with loud, pitch-perfect voices. Drabatans often played the heel in the performances.[1]

Behind the scenes

Mon Cala Opera was mentioned in Dawn of Rebellion, a 2018 roleplaying sourcebook published by Fantasy Flight Games for the Star Wars Roleplaying game.[1] Mon Cal Opera originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, being first mentioned in the 2006 novel Republic Commando: Triple Zero, the second in the Republic Commando series, written by Karen Traviss.[4]
