Biography
The Khepi droids discussed by Molo Jopeem in the Khepi Chronicles
Molo Jopeem was an individual that authored the Khepi Chronicles, a holobook about the Khepi people published in 7963 C.R.C.. The book was at least 240 pages long and covered topics ranging from the Khepi's contact with the Galactic Republic during the High Republic Era, the Jedi Order's interest in the Khepi's theology, the journal entries of Khepi High Priestess O'lona, the Khepi's construction of their Great Tomb in the Sayma Nebula, and the tomb's guardian droids.[1]
Around 3 ABY,[2] the pirate group known as the Rokana Raiders was based at the Khepi Tomb while their leader, Stinger Tash, searched for a way to open the tomb's burial chamber and recover its rumored treasure. During their time at the tomb, the group had pages thirty-eight and 240 of the book loaded on at least two datapads at the base. At some point during Tash's research into the Khepi, she deleted page 215 of the Khepi Chronicles—which discussed the tomb's guardian droids and the use of strong Roxodium alloys in the droid's construction—from the base's computer to keep its information from her crew.[1]
While at Khepi Tomb[1] around 3 ABY,[2] the thief Kay Vess found the two datapads loaded with pages thirty-eight and 240 of Jopeem's Khepi Chronicles. Vess also sliced into a terminal in Tash's quarters and discovered the captain's collected files on the Khepi. Unable to decrypt them, she transmitted the files to ND-5, a BX-series droid commando and Vess's partner, who was able to recover the deleted page. ND-5 loaded the restored file onto a datapad, which he left in the crew quarters of the Trailblazer, the pair's EML-850 light freighter, for Vess to read.[1]
Behind the scenes
Molo Jopeem was mentioned in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the video game Star Wars Outlaws, developed by Massive Entertainment, published by Ubisoft,[1] and released on May 15, 2025.[3] They are mentioned in three datapad entries, which players can read during the expansion's story. Reading these entries does not affect the outcome of the game's story.[1]
