The Model X was a model of heavy blaster pistol manufactured by Caliban. The weapon's carbine-like barrel and frame were nearly identical to those of the "Renegade" heavy blaster pistol manufactured by SoroSuub Corporation and the C-10 heavy blaster pistol.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Model X was mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2019 roleplaying supplement Gadgets and Gear.[1] The weapon originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 1993 roleplaying supplement Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim, which was written by Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[2]
