The C-10 heavy blaster pistol, also known as the C-10 "Dragoneye Reaper," was a model of heavy blaster pistol. It was popular with bounty hunters and mercenaries, especially larger individuals like Wookiees.
Description
The C-10 heavy blaster pistol, which was also known as the C-10 "Dragoneye Reaper," was a model of heavy blaster pistol with a large carbine-like frame and barrel. These elements were nearly identical to those found in the "Renegade" heavy blaster pistol manufactured by SoroSuub Corporation and the Model X manufactured by Caliban. The weapon had medium range and came with a stun setting.[1]
History
Costing 1000 credits, the C-10 found popularity with bounty hunters and mercenaries during the Galactic Civil War, especially those of great size and strength, for whom it made the perfect sidearm. A particularly large following for the weapon formed amongst the Wookiees of the planet Kashyyyk, although they still preferred bowcasters and other local designs. While there were other weapons that could provide the same energy output and flexibility in terms of customization, features that Wookiees particularly valued, the C-10 was a better fit for a Wookiee's paw.[1]
Behind the scenes
The C-10 heavy blaster pistol appeared in Star Wars canon in the 2019 roleplaying game supplement Gadgets and Gear.[1] The weapon originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in the 2005 Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided expansion, Rage of the Wookiees.[2]
