Mission to the Central Manse

In 9 BBY,[2] Jedi Knight Cal Kestis took a mission to the Central Manse on the Outer Rim Territories planet Koboh in search of answers about fallen High Republic Era Jedi Knight Dagan Gera and his quest for the planet Tanalorr, hidden in the Koboh Abyss. Kestis was sent there by Jedi Master Eno Cordova, who learned from The Archive on the moon Jedha that the Manse had been Gera's retreat. On the way there, Kestis was attacked by a bounty hunter working for the Haxion Brood syndicate named Korej Lim, but defeated the hunter in combat. After the fight, he was approached by retired bounty hunter Caij Vanda, who asked for his help in taking down bounty hunters that were coming to Koboh for both of them.[1]

Continuing on his mission, Kestis encountered and defeated many Bedlam Raiders on his journey and retrieved a Koboh matter grinder for his droid, BD-1. Kestis eventually reached the Manse and its Grand Courtyard, where he was attacked by lightsaber-wielding Bedlam Raider Tague Louesh, who Kestis defeated in combat. Within the structure, Kestis found an Abyss compass and learned via his psychometry that two Jedi had destroyed the compass to keep a fallen Gera from using it, but both were killed by Gera. After retrieving the compass, Kestis decided to bring it back to Cordova on Jedha so that the Jedi Master could study it.[1]
