This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

Miso paste was a type of foodstuff edible by Twi'leks. The Twi'lek Yuehiro made a soup consisting of miso paste melted in dashi with rehydrated vegetables and shared a bowl of it with pilot Ekiya while they were onboard the light freighter Poor Crow. While simple, Ekiya judged Yuehiro's soup to be "all right."[1]

Behind the scenes

Miso paste appeared in the 2021 non-canon novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, by Emma Mieko Candon.[1] In the real world, miso is a fermented paste made of cooked soybeans and grains such as rice or barley, mixed with salt and the Aspergillus oryzae fungus, or kōji in Japanese.[2]
