- "No! No, no, no! How many times do I have to say it? No Force nonsense on my ship!"
- ―Ekiya
The Poor Crow was a light freighter owned by the pilot Ekiya. It was a long, sharp-nosed ship that had extensible, scarred wings and stenciled writing on its side naming it "the poor crow." On the inside, the Crow was neat and well maintained, though it appeared assembled out of spare parts in certain places.[1]
History
A new crewmember
- "Would you tell him that the next time he throws a tantrum on the Crow, I'm throwing him out the air lock?"
- ―Ekiya
After the former Sith known as the Ronin and his companion astromech droid R5-D56 helped end a raid led by Dark Lord of the Sith Kouru on a village on the Outer Rim Territories planet Genbara, they became acquainted with the former Jedi known as the Traveler, who walked with them to Osou spaceport, where the Poor Crow was docked. As the Crow readied its systems for lift-off on Osou, the Ronin was chased by Imperial troops and bounty hunters, eventually engaging in lightsaber combat with a resurrected Kouru. The Poor Crow positioned itself between the two duelists, and the Ronin leapt onto its opened walkway to make an escape. Kouru, who also leapt behind him in pursuit, was knocked off mid-air by the Traveler through the black current of the Force.[1]
On the Poor Crow, where his droid B5 had already boarded, the Ronin fired his blaster at a panel on a corridor of the ship, which damaged the gravity generator, causing objects and the crew to float. At the gallet deck, the Ronin, suspicious of the Traveler, held the former Jedi's neck via the Force and demanded answers. Shortly after, a crew member re-engaged gravity on the ship. The Crow's pilot, Ekiya, and another crewmember, Chie, joined the Ronin and the Traveler to retake control of the situation, Ekiya reiterating the common request that the Force not be used on board the Crow. They all shared some tea on a low wooden table that unfolded from the ship's galley deck upon pushing a button.[1]
To Dekien
- "Set a course for Dekien. We'll find a relic there, sacred to the Sith. It will guide our path."
- ―The Ronin
The Traveler explained to the Ronin that the ship's crew intended to enlist his help in the search for the Sith witch, who was believed to be behind the disappearance of bodies, as well as of the Imperial capital planet Rei'izu. The Ronin agreed to join them, and asked Ekiya to set a course for the planet Dekien, where a relic sacred to the Sith, in the belief that it would offer clues. Kouru, who had stolen a scout vessel on Genbara, tracked and followed the Poor Crow.[1]
