This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

Dashi was a type of foodstuff edible by Twi'leks. While onboard the light freighter Poor Crow, the Twi'lek Yuehiro made a simple soup consisting of miso paste melted in dashi with rehydrated vegetables, sharing a bowl with it with the pilot Ekiya, who liked it.[1]

Behind the scenes

Dashi appeared in the 2021 non-canon novel Ronin: A Visions Novel, by Emma Mieko Candon.[1] In the real world, dashi is a Japanese soup stock made from fish and kelp.[2]
