- "As in Mesula the ice moon? Didn't it rupture ages ag—oh."
"Hence, Remnants." - ―Lando Calrissian and L3-37
Mesula was an ice moon located in the[2] Mid Rim Territories.[1] Many eons before[2] around 11 BBY,[3] Mesula underwent a cataclysmic rupture, causing it to shatter. The rupture of Mesula resulted in the Mesulan Remnants Belt, a field of ice asteroids that the Pau'an gangster Fyzen Gor would later use to hide the Phylanx Redux Transmitter, a device that Gor hoped to use to initiate a droid revolution across the galaxy.[2]
Behind the scenes
Mesula was first mentioned in Last Shot, a 2018 canon novel written by Daniel José Older.[2]
