Mensix were a company that established the Mensix Mining Facility AG3-T on the lava planet Mustafar at some point after the destruction of the world's Klegger Corp Mining Facility at the end of the Clone Wars[1] in 19 BBY.[2] Mensix's facility was built as a near copy of the Klegger Corp structure. It was designed to process almost 5,000 tonnes of minerals from Mustafar's lava flows each day.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Mensix was mentioned in the seventeenth issue of De Agostini's Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine,[1] published around April 29, 2015.[3] The company originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where both Mensix Corp and its subsidiary the Mensix Mining Company first appeared in Star Wars Galaxies: Trials of Obi-Wan, a 2005 expansion to the Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided massively multiplayer online role-playing game.[4] The Japanese edition of Rey's Survival Guide lists the manufacturer of the LX-4 proton mine as Mensix, not Merr-Son.[5]
