Master of Port Administration

Master of Port Administration, also called Port Administrator for short, was the title of local administrators of the cities on the Outer Rim Territories planet Utapau. Each master acted as a type of mayor and was assisted by an advisory committee. The Masters of Port Administration each sat on the Utapaun Committee, run by the Chairman of Utapau, the Head of State. Members of the Pau'an species typically served as Masters of Port Administration, and the roles were often granted based on heritage.^[1]

As of the Battle of Coruscant in 19 BBY, Tion Medon had been Master of Port Administration of Pau City, the planet's capital, for over two hundred years, and came from a line of distinguished Pau'ans who helped shape the planet's history. Presiding over the sinkhole spaceport of Pau City, he carried the ornate Port master's walking stick fashioned from exotic alloy.^[2] Chairman Medon was assisted by his aide, Lampay Fay. The Administrator personally welcomed Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi to the city, and warned him of General Grievous's presence on the Tenth Level.^[3]
