A full battery of the Imperial Army was stationed on the Mid Rim planet Mapuzo to protect the Galactic Empire's vintrium mining interests on world. Members of the battery included stormtroopers and Captain Tala Durith, who was, secretly, a double agent for the Hidden Path network. The battery maintained several facilities on Mapuzo, including an Imperial facility on the plains, a checkpoint, and a presence at a spaceport near a village. After Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was located on Mapuzo by the Inquisitorius[1] in 9 BBY,[3] the Fourth Sister ordered the Imperial officers assigned to the Inquisitorius to mobilize their battalions to reinforce the battery, further ordering the shut down of every port on Mapuzo in the process.[1]
