The Manaan system was located in the Inner Rim Territories in the galaxy, situated in grid square O-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The system contained the planet Manaan.[2]

Behind the scenes

The Manaan system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the appendix "Star Systems of the Galaxy," published on the StarWars.com website on June 24, 2025,[1] as part of the Star Wars Galaxy Map.[3] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic,[4] and was later identified as "Pyrshak system" in the game's Prima's Official Strategy Guide,[5] and later as "Manaan system" in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[6]
