- "I must find a way to tell Father we should make a blaster-proof prototype."
- ―Kozmo Sundrel IV, regarding his medallion
The Luzalite diamond medallion was a family heirloom that belonged to Kozmo Sundrel IV[1] in around 396 BBY.[2] The medallion was fashioned from diamond and originated from the planet Luzalite. It was not blaster-proof, though it was still capable of protecting its wearer from blaster fire when struck directly. Kozmo Sundrel IV wore the medallion while attending Reena University around 396 BBY; Sundrel's acquaintance, fellow student Axel Greylark, regarded it as "ridiculous." Sundrel continued to wear the medallion when he was held hostage and forced to steal for the Path of the Open Hand, having hid it under the server's uniform he was forced to wear in order to prevent it from being stolen as well. When Sundrel was shot by Leyli Romero—another fellow student and a spy for the Path—the Luzalite diamond medallion took the blow and protected him. Afterwards, he commented that he should ask his father to make a blaster-proof prototype of the medallion.[1]
