"I do want out of the family business. I'm just not cut out for university. And I'm still a Romero. You know what it's like, Axel. Deep inside, you do. We're the same. We're never going to please our families. We're never going to be what they want us to be. So we have to make our own way."
―Leyli Romero, to Axel Greylark[1]

Leyli Romero was a Kilotowan female member of a group of thieves led by Elecia Zeveron, and a former member of the Romero Clan who posed as a student of Reena University. During her time at the university, she had a feigned relationship with fellow student Axel Greylark. During the Queen's Bloom Festival[1] around 396 BBY,[2] Romero leveraged Greylark's infatuation with her to sway him into helping Zeveron's crew steal valuables from attendees of a party hosted by the House of Reena in Gorag Tower on the planet Reena. Greylark was blindsided upon learning she had used his affections for her. Despite this, she questioned her superior, Elecia Zeveron, if it was necessary to hurt him. Afterwards, she and Greylark unmagnanimously parted ways as she departed alongside Zeveron and the other crew members.[1]
