The Luuq sector was a sector of the Mid Rim Territories. In grid square L-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid, it contained the Luuq system and the Tarchalia systems.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Luuq sector was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[2] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[3] The Luuq sector was depicted on a map designed by Modi and published in the 2012 StarWars.com article The Essential Atlas Extra: Sectors of the Mid Rim.[4]
