A male individual was the father of Lop,[1] a member of a subspecies of Lepi.[2] Lop was eventually orphaned,[3] with her father and mother leaving her the droid TD-4, who looked after her as she grew up.[4] Between 19 BBY and 8 BBY,[5] by which time Lop had been enslaved by the Galactic Empire, she was brought away from her homeworld to the planet Tao. On Tao, she escaped the Empire and met the human girl Ochō and her father, Yasaburō. Yasaburō asked Lop where her mother and father were, and she told him they were no longer around. Yasaburō was then persuaded by Ochō to adopt Lop into their family, and he became her adoptive father.[1]

Behind the scenes

Lop's father was first mentioned in "Lop & Ochō," a non-canon short film that was released as part of the first volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by Geno Studio, was released on Disney+[1] on September 22, 2021.[6]

As the prologue takes place seven years before the main story, the main story must take place between 12 BBY and 1 BBY, and the the prologue must take place between 19 BBY and 8 BBY.
