Lop, an adopted member of the Yasaburō clan, was a member of a subspecies of the Lepi species. Members of the species were shorter than other Lepi, and could have blue eyes and brown, black, gray, or white hair.[1]

Behind the scenes

Lop's subspecies first appeared in "Lop & Ochō," a short film in the Star Wars: Visions series written by Sayawaka and directed by Yuki Igarashi. The animated short, produced by Geno Studio, was released on Disney+[2] on September 22, 2021.[3] Igarashi was trying to make a rabbit character, and so asked mechanical designer IZOMOJUKI if knew any. He told Igarashi about Lepus carnivorus, one member of which is Jaxxon. As Jaxxon is two meters tall and Lop is quite small, Igarashi imagined Lop to be part of a smaller species of Lepus carnivorus.[1]
