TD-4 was a droid that was the constant companion of Lop on the planet Tao. The droid possessed a number of abilities and tools that included a recording functionality, capturing moments of Lop's life, from her time as an orphan through until becoming part of a family.[3]
Behind the scenes
- "I love TD-4's tininess, its color, and chibi design! Lop and TD-4 are just so endearing together. Despite its small size, the creators have imagined so many cool traits that set it apart. I hope someday that TD-4 can show us more than what has been revealed in the episode, as it always supports Lop and leads them to a fateful destiny."
- ―Kanako Shirasaki
TD-4 was created for "Lop & Ochō," a short film in the Star Wars: Visions series[3] produced by Geno Studio and directed by Yuki Igarashi.[4] Visions producer Kanako Shirasaki compared TD-4 to a loyal dog and the droid's recording function to a diary or blog, stating that it would play a key role in the episode.[3]
