Linasals was a tropical moon[4] located in the Linasals system within the Mikaster sector of[3] the Expansion Region[1] and Trailing Sectors.[2] It was situated in grid square N-15 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] By the time of the war between the First Order and the Resistance, the Ithorian collector Dok-Ondar—who ran the Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities shop in the town of Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu—imported silk ribbons from Linasals.[4]

In 34 ABY,[5] when smuggler Izal Garsea visited the store, the farmer Julen Rakab was reminded of the ribbons imported from Linasals by the breeze's rustling of her black hair as she entered.[4] The same year,[6] the historian and author Eloc Throno included Linasals on a map in his Batuu guidebook, Traveler's Guide to Batuu.[1]

Behind the scenes

Linasals was first mentioned in the 2019 young-adult novel A Crash of Fate, written by Zoraida Córdova.[4] The 2020 reference book Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu, written by Cole Horton, erroneously labels Linasals as a planet.[1]

  6. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge: Traveler's Guide to Batuu establishes that at the time of the book's setting the Resistance was based on Batuu. Star Wars: Timelines dates both the establishment of the Batuu Resistance base and its eventual relocation to Ajan Kloss to 34 ABY. Therefore, the in-universe guide must have been authored that year.
