Silk was a material that was found in the galaxy. Aric Nightdrifter had a fan made of silk.[3] Silk could also be used to make clothing,[1] and came in a number of types, such as Ghorman silk[4], Sleedaran silk,[1] Cantonican golden silk,[5] Onderon silk,[6] Bardottan silk,[7] Karlini silk,[8] shimmersilk, Aeien silk, and durasilk.[9] Count Dooku owned a pair of exquisite pajamas that were made from only the finest silks.[10]
Silk was produced by both Ghorman spiders[4] and ginnthos, who used it to trap prey.[11]
