The Lengil system was located in the Bes Ber Bikade sector of the Expansion Region[1] and Trailing Sectors.[2] It was situated in grid square L-15 of the Standard Galactic Grid[1] and was the origin point of[4] the civilization known as the Lengilese that the rogue archaeologist Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra claimed had been lost[3] by 3 ABY.[5]
Behind the scenes
The Lengil system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[6]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Lengilese in relation to the Lengil system.
