The Lanteeb system was a star system in the Bri'ahl sector of the Outer Rim Territories that fell within grid square I-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It contained Lanteeb, an astronomical object that was home to the parasitic Maxilan's explosive bloatworm.[2]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Lanteeb system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[3] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Lanteeb's system was called the Malor-77 system and first appeared in the 2010 novel Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth by Karen Miller.[4] Lanteeb was then pictured for the first time in an image of Lanteeb by Chris Trevas in the 2012 reference book The Essential Reader's Companion, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[5]
