Laakteen was a location[1] in the Laakteen Depot system[2] of the galaxy's Colonies that was a suspected base of Rebel Alliance operations. Laakteen and several other locations were identified[1] in a 3 ABY[3] Imperial Security Bureau report that generated targets for Viper probe droid surveys by cross-referencing areas with a high degree of suspicious activity with the unsettled parts of the galaxy favored by the rebels.[1]
