Khepi guardian droids was a type of sentry droid created by the Khepi people to protect their Great Tomb in the Sayma Nebula. They were constructed using the same roxodium alloys that the Khepi used to construct the tomb itself. As such the droids were made to last for thousands of years. The droids were sealed in cubic containers scattereed around the tomb that were strong enough to prevent members of the Rokana Raiders from breaking them open. Combining the two pieces of the Architect's Scepter in the tombs burial chamber could be activated the droids who would kill any intruders of the tomb.[1]
Behind the scenes
Roxodium was mentioned in the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[2] During the expansion the players have another of options to convince the Rokana Raiders to join Hondo Ohnaka, if they are successful then Ohnaka will combine the scepter and activate the droids, however if they don't convince the raiders then Tash will be the one to combine the scepter and activate the droids. If Vess talks about the dangerous of the scepter then Ohnaka will not combine the scepter and Tash will instead trigger explosions that will let in gas from the surrounding nebula.[1] As there has not been a confirmed canon route for these events, this article does not assume that the droids were activated or not.
