Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

During the Clone Wars, the Gran senator Kharrus carried a ceremonial staff. Its end featured a large gold medallion representing a bird whose spread wings formed a circle around it. After Kharrus died when his Nu-class attack/transport shuttle crashed on Florrum, Junior Representative Jar Jar Binks placed this staff on the senator's improvised burial mound.[1] Eventually, the staff wound up in Maz Kanata's collection of artifacts on Takodana.[2]

Behind the scenes

The headpiece of Kharrus' staff was made to resemble that of the Staff of Ra from the first Indiana Jones movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), which was also produced by George Lucas.[3]
