The Kampe system was located in the Deep Core[1] and the Interior.[2] It was situated in grid square L-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Kampe system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[3] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared, albeit unnamed, in Darksaber, a 1995 novel written by Kevin J. Anderson.[4] The 2012 reference book The Essential Reader's Companion by Pablo Hidalgo subsequently identified[5] the system's planet featured in Darksaber[4] as Kampe,[5] and the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry ultimately identified the system as the Kampe system.[6]
