- "Janaus. Lesser Tontakoh. Barayfe."
"Does anyone live in those places?" - ―Adi Gallia and Yarael Poof
Janaus was a terrestrial astronomical object[2] in the Janaus system in the Thrasybule sector of the Outer Rim Territories, in grid square P-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid,[1] that was the site of a Jedi outpost established by the Jedi Order during the Republic Era. Janaus was included, alongside Lesser Tontakoh, Barayfe, and Kwenn, on a list of outposts no longer frequented by the Jedi that could be closed to allow for increased presence in other sites where the Galactic Senate expected growth. The list was presented to the Jedi High Council by Jedi Master Adi Gallia, upon which Master Yarael Poof remarked on the low population of Janaus and the other named locations.[2]
