"Does anyone live in those places?" - ―Adi Gallia and Yarael Poof
Barayfe was an astronomical object[2] in the Barayfe system in the Alchenaut sector of the Expansion Region[1] where the Jedi Order maintained a Jedi outpost during the Republic Era. It was one of several, alongside Janaus, Lesser Tontakoh, and Kwenn, that were included on a list of locations no longer frequented by the Jedi that could be closed down to balance additional presence in places where the Galactic Senate expected growth. The list was presented to the Jedi High Council by Jedi Master Adi Gallia, upon which Master Yarael Poof made a remark on the low population of Barayfe and the other locations.[2]
