The Iska system was a star system located in the Iska sector of the Mid Rim Territories. It was located in grid square K-17 on the Standard Galactic Grid[1] which was part of the Western Reaches.[2] The Iska system and Iska sector shared their name[1] with the Iska pirates, a criminal group that Admiral Terrinald Screed of the Imperial Navy had driven from Fanha and defeated at Tosste[3] by 4 BBY.[4]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Iska system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[5] The system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[6]
