The Infinite Empire was an empire of the Rakatan[1] species[2] that existed at some time prior to the Imperial Era,[1] which began in 19 BBY.[3] Despite not probing into the Mid Rim desert planet Aleen's past, what was known to the human-centric scholarship of the Galactic Empire was that the native Aleena, and possibly the native Kindalo, were client species of the Infinite Empire, though there was little evidence of any occupation.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Infinite Empire was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in Nexus of Power, a 2016 sourcebook for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game.[1] In Star Wars Legends, the Infinite Empire was first mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts.[4] The Empire subsequently debuted in the Dark Horse comic Dawn of the Jedi: Force Storm 1,[5] which was released on February 15, 2012.[6]
