Imperial recruiters was a type of loyal officer in the Galactic Empire who recruited individuals into the Imperial Army or Imperial Navy.

History

During the Galactic Civil War, recruitment officers were stationed in multiple cities, bases and camps on multiple worlds throughout the galaxy.^[1]

Aside from their recruitment duties, Imperial recruiters would also sell certain supplies and equipment to soldiers, depending on their rank.^[2] Imperial recruiters would also sort and file paperwork whenever Imperial military personnel went on leave.^[1]

Limna Renence served as recruiting officer in the recruitment office of the Imperial Navy.^[3]

Behind the scenes

Imperial Recruiters are Non-Player Characters (NPCs) in the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, which players can speak to in order to join the Empire.^[1] In the game, they sell a number of items depending on the rank of the player.^[2] They also change the player's faction status, and inform players on who has planetary control.^[1]
