The Immerian Outback was a sector of the Expansion Region. In grid square N-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid, it contained the Bogoa, Ciratu, Pamorjal, and Shaymore systems. It also contained the Zeenada system in grid square O-14, which additionally covered the Immeria sector that partly shared its name with the Immerian Outback.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, the Immerian Outback was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[2] The sector originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in "Rings of Bright Water," an adventure for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game that was written by Ken Rolston and published by West End Games in the game's 1987 first edition rulebook.[3] The Immerian Outback was then identified as part of the "Essential Atlas Extra: Expansion Region" update for the first time in the StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas by Daniel Wallace and Fry, which released on October 26, 2012.[4]
