Hyperspace Lounge

The Hyperspace Lounge was a luxurious adult bar onboard a starship. It served both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as complimentary snacks. The Lounge included a bar counter where multiple uniformed employees took orders from customers in front of a large viewport that allowed patrons to peer outside the spacecraft into realspace. An alternatingly purple, red or yellow-lit room, it featured several tables and seats usable by humanoid species,^[1] as well as decorative artifacts such as lava crystals from the planet Mustafar, a sculpted bust of a Togruta, and a seven-string hallikset. Its general design was reminiscent of Dryden Vos's Kervalan star yacht First Light^[2] and Canto Bight casino Canto Casino and Racetrack.^[3]

Drinks served at the Hyperspace Lounge included Batuuan Harvest Brew, Mustafarian Black Ale, Berken's Flow, Freetown Reserve, Hyperfuel, Pickled Mynock, Spire Sunset, The Chancellor, The Golden One, Cloud City, Temple Twist, and Kaiburr Crystal, the latter of which was said to be the rarest and most valuable cocktail in the galaxy.^[1]^[2]

"We decided that since we’re on a cruise ship, it would be fun if the lounge is on a Star Wars ship. [...] What if we explored, [...] doing kind of a Dryden Vos yacht ship?’ We landed on that, doing something sophisticated, which also matches the design of the Disney Wish."

The Hyperspace Lounge was featured in the real-life eponymous bar area on the Disney Wish cruise ship,^[4] designed by Danny Handke, senior creative director of Walt Disney Imagineering.^[3] Image resolution concerns due to the large size of the screen that serves as a "window" prompted Disney imagineers to work with Industrial Light & Magic to recreate the scenes that guests can see in the lounge.^[5]
