Hydroponics was the method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions in water without the use of soil. The planet Jamiron contained Chiss hydroponic facilities. There was also an area called "Hydroponics" on the first Death Star on level 3-A that contained hydroponic technology. Hydroponic gardens were located in the caves underneath of Stav Kesh Temple on planet Tython.^[2] The process for using specially selected hydroponic plants to produce oxygen and extract noxious gases and impurities was known as hydroponics recycling.^[3]
