- "For example, I am grateful that I am such a cunning genius. It is a small blessing, but a real one. Many in my line of work lack the cool wit and resourcefulness which I demonstrated when I laid waste to the notorious Humbarine Ore Caravan, despite being outnumbered 30-to-1. I profited where my lesser rivals did not."
- ―Hondo Ohnaka in the first draft of his holobook "Hondo's Memoirs"
The Humbarine Ore Caravan was an organization that operated in the galaxy at least twenty cycles[1] before 3 ABY.[2] The pirate captain Hondo Ohnaka claimed to have laid waste to the caravan in an excerpt of chapter 112 of the first draft of his holobook, "Hondo's Memoirs". In the draft he claimed to have defeated the caravan with cool wit and resourcefulness despite being outnumbered 30–to–1. Ohnaka left an excerpt of chapter 112 on a datapad at the Ohnaka Hideout on the desert planet Tatooine when the Ohnaka Gang abandoned the base.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Humbarine Ore Caravan is mentioned in a datapad entry that players could find in the "Lost Treasures" quest of the "A Pirate's Fortune" expansion for the Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws,[1] which was released on May 15, 2025.[3]
