Hinari was planet located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and the New Territories'[2] Thesme sector, within the Hinari system. It was situated in grid square O-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[3] In the months following the Battle of Endor[1] in 4 ABY,[4] New Republic pilot Wedge Antilles visited the world, hoping to locate hidden pockets of Imperial forces. However, he was unsuccessful and eventually opted to continue his search by traveling to the Outer Rim planet Akiva.[1]

Hinari was mentioned in Aftermath, a 2015 novel written by Chuck Wendig as the first installment in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.[1]
