The Hijo system was a star system in the Expansion Region's Hijoian Space sector and fell within grid square J-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Hijo system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[2] The system originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity and was first mentioned as the "Hijoian system" in the 2008 reference book The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.[3] The name Hijo system was then introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, which was written by Fry and Daniel Wallace.[4]
