Halcyon was an arboreal planet located in the binary[1] Halcyon system[2] in the galaxy's Colonies. The planet notably housed a species of large rodents, and sparkstone could be found there. It also had several moons.[1]
Some ten years before the onslaught of the Clone Wars, a group of would-be usurpers became discontent with Halcyon's membership in the Galactic Republic, and they captured several members of their homeworld's planetary government. The Republic tried to negotiate with the usurpers, but to no avail. Eventually, the Republic Senate dispatched members of the Jedi Order to Halcyon, along with eighty members of the Republic's Judicial Department.[1]
Behind the scenes
Halcyon was first mentioned in the 2014 novel Tarkin, written by James Luceno.[1]
