The Had Abbadon system was a star system located in the Deep Core,[1] the treacherous central region of the galaxy.[2] It was situated at the coordinates L-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, the Had Abbadon system was first mentioned in the "The Deep Core," an article in the "Guide to the Galaxy" department of the thirty-sixth issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine[2] that was published around September 9, 2015.[3] It was identified as a system in the appendix "Star Systems of the Galaxy," published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both were written by Jason Fry.[4] In the rough draft of Return of the Jedi, "Had Abbadon" was the name of the city-planet that served as the capital of the Galactic Empire.[5]
