The Gungan personal energy shield was a model of handheld energy shield manufactured by Otoh Gunga Defense League[1] that incorporated hydrostatic bubble technology.[2] They featured a screen of energy that could be turned on or off which protected against both blaster fire and physical weapons.[4] They were used at Great Grass Plains by the Gungan Grand Army as they battled the droid army of the Trade Federation. The shields were either held in one hand or strapped to the forearm.[3] The Gungan personal energy shields were also capable of repelling Force lightning,[6]
