Gualama were a species of herbivorous animal found on the grasslands of the planet Naboo.[1] To describe someone as "Gualama-loving" was considered an insult, and during a family meal at their home on Saleucami the Imperial-loyal Webb Taffral used the term to against his brother Dav Taffral, who had joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[2]
Behind the scenes
In the canon continuity, gualamas were first mentioned in Aftermath, a novel written by Chuck Wendig and released in 2015.[2] Their first appearance was in issue 33 of the comic book series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra (2016).[3]
Gualamas originated Star Wars Legends and first appeared in The Wildlife of Star Wars: A Field Guide, a reference book written by Terryl Whitlatch and Bob Carrau that was released in 2001.[4]
