Gigi was an astromech droid who operated during the High Republic Era. They served under the droid mechanic Rek Minuu, where they were upgraded with a flying drone head.[1] Sometime between 232 BBY and 230 BBY,[2] after Jedi Initiates Kai Brightstar, Nubs, and Lys Solay revealed Minuu was stealing parts in order to upgrade droids, Gigi—along with fellow astromechs Dozer and Beepers—left Minuu; the droids opted to work for Dotti at their workshop after the incident.[1]
