During the High Republic Era, Jedi Knight Gella Nattai used two purple-bladed lightsabers.[1] She used them on many occasions throughout her Jedi career. Shortly after the ending of the Eiram-E'ronoh War in 382 BBY, Axel Greylark temporarily took one of Gella's Lightsabers, which she later retrieved.[2]

History

Prior to 382 BBY, Gella Nattai built her lightsabers by using two twin kyber crystals. She used them on different occasions including the ceasefire of the Eiram-E'ronoh War.[1]

After the Battle of Jedha, Gella Nattai visited the imprisoned son of Supreme Chancellor Kyong Greylark, Axel Greylark, at the Republic Correctional Facility on Pipyyr alongside Jedi Master Orin Darhga for information on the Path of the Open Hand. They later got a false transmission from Kyong ordering them to transport him to another prison. On the way, Nattai, Darhga and Axel were attacked by a small group led by Greylark's old friend and Path member Binnot Ullo. During the fight, Nattai lost one of her lightsabers, which was shortly after found by Greylark. Greylark fought with the Jedi until Ullo appeared, who convinced Greylark to escape with him. Ullo and Greylark escaped to Jedha with the lightsaber, but Nattai and Dargha followed them. Nattai used her remaining lightsaber's crystal's connection to its twin through the Force to lead her to Greylark and her lightsaber.[2]

The Jedi followed the fugitives to a transport ship heading for Dalna, which they snuck aboard. On Dalna, the Jedi confronted Greylark and Ullo in the compound of the Path of the Open Hand, but Dargha was killed Ullo's poison glove. Nattai would soon be imprisoned, with Ullo taking possession of the lightsabers. After Greylark was betrayed by the Path when his usefulness came to its end, as his mother stepped down as chancellor, Ullo met with Nattai at her cell to gloat on his victory, including his claiming of her lightsabers, which he had come to enjoy holding. Nattai surmised that it was because Ullo was Force-sensitive, which he angrily denied, and tried to further anger Ullo, who ultimately lashed out by stabbing the cell doors with her lightsabers. While he stabbed through, his strike missed Nattai yet did not bring down the door.[2]

Shortly thereafter, a battle erupted on the planet, during which Greylark freed Nattai. In the final moments of the battle, a fleeing Utto was confronted by Nattai and Greylark, whom he tried to emotionally connect with until Greylark rebuked him. Utto attacked with Nattai's lightsabers, injuring Greylark's shoulder and destroying his blaster pistol, although Greylark managed to escape by throwing a chair at the Path member. While Utto knocked away the object with one of the lightsabers, the inexperienced Utto decided to duel Nattai, who wielded the lightsabers of injured Jedi Creighton Sun and Aida Forte. Nattai quickly disarmed Utto, who would be killed by his own poison glove when Greylark shoved it into his chest. As the room flooded, Greylark went back against Nattai's wishes to retrieve her lightsabers, which he quickly returned to their rightful owner.[2]
