Galoomps were a type of creature.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] while stranded inside the Occlusion Zone, an area of space controlled by the Nihil marauders,[1] Republic Defense Coalition Captain[3] Pikka Adren mentally compared the way her insides felt during pregnancy to a herd of fleeing galoomps.[1]
Behind the scenes
Galoomps as depicted in the Star Wars Legends continuity
In the current Star Wars canon, galoomps were mentioned in the short story "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: Friend or Foe?", written by Lydia Kang and published in the 223rd issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine[1] on December 12, 2023[4] as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase III.[5] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, galoomps first appeared in the 1999 Lucas Learning video game Star Wars Episode I: The Gungan Frontier.[6]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates Starlight Beacon's destruction to 230 BBY. As the section of "Tales from the Occlusion Zone: Friend or Foe?" where galoomps are mentioned takes place one month after the Expansion of the Stormwall, which The High Republic: The Eye of Darkness establishes as having occurred one year after the fall of Starlight Beacon, it must be set in 228 BBY.
